The shallow gratin is ideal to roast meats, gratin side vegetables and pasta bakes. Its beautiful finishes make this piece ideal for oven-to-table dining and entertaining.

Crafted in clad stainless steel, an innovative material that combines the optimal heat conductivity of an aluminium core with the great ease of use of mirror-polished stainless steel. The first hand-hammered stainless steel cookware, for a beauty that lasts, this Opus Prima Gratin also features a delicately decorated stainless steel handle, unique serial number, and is crowned with a hand-cast bronze finial in the shape of a fennel, carrot and string bean that is plated in silver by our partner silversmiths in Milan.

Ideas For Use

The gratin's shallow shape makes it ideal for starting preparations on the hob, then finishing them in the oven to get crispy and browned.

Roast meats like chicken cacciatore, gratin side vegetables (potatoes, carrots etc.) and crisp bubbly pasta bakes.

Bring directly to the table for family-style dining to enjoy this gratin's beautiful finishes and savour your food still piping hot.

Use and Care

Recommended for use on all stovetops, including induction. Use a burner that is similar in diameter to the cookware, never heat the pot empty and do not exceed 230 C (450 F).

To avoid scratching or dulling the polished surface, do not use knives, sharp kitchen tools, corrosive detergents and metal scouring pads.

The silver-plated finial will naturally tarnish over time: use a silver-polishing cloth to restore its shine, or to polish more thoroughly remove from the lid by twisting the special screw. Always hand-wash the lid as dishwasher use would accelerate the silver tarnishing. The cookware is dishwasher-safe.
